Launch a token. Open a position.
usepurps launches pump.fun tokens that each run one leveraged position on Hyperliquid. Creator fees from every trade become margin for that position. When it makes money, the profit buys the token back and burns it. This page explains every step, every number and every risk.

Overview#
A usepurps token is an ordinary pump.fun token. It trades on the bonding curve, graduates to the pump AMM, and shows up in every wallet, explorer and aggregator like any other. The difference is where its creator fees go. Instead of paying a person, they fund a single position chosen at launch, for example long HYPE 3x or short ETH 5x, held in that token's own Hyperliquid account.
That gives each token three properties:
A thesis
The market, direction and leverage are fixed at launch and shown on the token's page forever. Holders know exactly what the fees are doing.
Volume that compounds
More trading means more fees, more margin and a bigger position. Size follows activity, not hype.
Profit that returns
When the position is up 20%, the gain is taken, bridged back to Solana and used to buy and burn the token.
Everything happens in public: each claim, bridge, order, profit-take, buyback and burn is logged on the token's page with a link to the transaction.
Quick start#
Launch a token
- 1Connect a Solana wallet.
- 2Upload an image, pick a name and a ticker.
- 3Pick a Hyperliquid market, long or short, and leverage.
- 4Optionally add a dev buy, then sign once.
Back a token
- 1Browse tokens and open one.
- 2Read its position: market, side, leverage, PnL.
- 3Buy on the token page; every trade pays fees into the position.
- 4Follow the activity feed as fees turn into size and profit into burns.
The fee loop#
Five steps run automatically for every token, around the clock. The keeper checks every token about every 30 seconds.
- 01
Trade
Someone buys or sells the token. pump.fun charges a 3% creator fee, paid in HYPE because the token is paired with it.
- 02
Claim
The token's fee wallet is its pump.fun creator. The keeper claims the HYPE and swaps it to SOL on Jupiter.
- 03
Bridge
Once 0.13 SOL has built up it is sent through Unit, Hyperliquid's native bridge, to the token's Hyperliquid account.
- 04
Margin
On Hyperliquid the SOL is sold for USDC and moved into the perp account. The position grows to match.
- 05
Profit → burn
At +20% the profit is taken, bridged back as SOL, used to buy the token and burned.
Launch
Launching a token#
A launch is one transaction, signed once by your wallet. It does three things:
- 01
Creates the token
A standard pump.fun token (1,000,000,000 supply, 6 decimals) paired with HYPE on Solana, with a 3% creator fee. Metadata is pinned to IPFS.
- 02
Sets the creator
The pump.fun creator is a fee wallet made for this token alone, not your wallet. That is what lets the fees run the position.
- 03
Buys, if you asked
An optional dev buy, paid in SOL. It is swapped to HYPE and spent in the same transaction that creates the token, so your buy is always first. Two quick wallet prompts. The tokens go to your wallet.
The token appears on usepurps as soon as the transaction confirms. Its description on pump.fun includes the position, for example “LONG BTC 3x on Hyperliquid”.
Why HYPE?
pump.fun only allows a custom creator fee on quote tokens admitted through its quote list; SOL and USDC are fixed at the 0.05% default. Pairing with HYPE lets every usepurps token charge the 3% maximum: sixty times more fuel for its position. Traders never touch HYPE; they pay and receive SOL.
Fixed at launch
The market, direction and leverage cannot be changed afterwards, by you or by usepurps. Neither can the creator: fees always go to the position.
Choosing a position#
Market
Any Hyperliquid perpetual that supports cross margin: majors like BTC, ETH and SOL, Hyperliquid's own HYPE, and over a hundred more. The launch page lists them all live, with price, 24h change, volume and each market's maximum leverage.
Direction
Long profits when the market goes up. Short profits when it goes down. Funding is paid or received like any Hyperliquid position.
Leverage
From 1x up to 20x, or the market's own maximum if lower. Leverage sets how far the market can move against the position before it is liquidated. Roughly:
| Leverage | Liquidated by a move of about | Character |
|---|---|---|
| 1x | never (fully collateralised) | patient |
| 2x | 50% against | patient |
| 3x | 33% against | balanced |
| 5x | 20% against | balanced |
| 10x | 10.0% against | aggressive |
| 20x | 5.0% against | very aggressive |
Maintenance margin makes the real distance a little shorter. New fees add margin over time, which pushes the liquidation price further away.
What a launch costs#
| Item | Amount | Paid to |
|---|---|---|
| Network + account rent | ≈ 0.02 SOL | Solana |
| Creator fee on trades | 3% of every trade | The token's position, via its fee wallet |
| Dev buy | Optional, any amount | The bonding curve (you get the tokens) |
| usepurps fee | None | - |
usepurps takes no launch fee and no cut of creator fees. 100% of claimed fees go to the token's position.
Mechanics
Fees to margin#
pump.fun pays creator fees into a vault for each creator. Because every usepurps token has its own fee wallet as creator, each vault holds exactly one token's fees. Nothing is pooled between tokens.
- 01
Claim
When the vault holds 0.005 SOL or more, the keeper claims it into the fee wallet.
- 02
Bridge
At 0.13 SOL the fees are sent to the token's Unit deposit address. Unit's minimum is 0.12 SOL; the extra covers its fee. Unit credits the SOL to the token's Hyperliquid account.
- 03
Swap
The SOL is sold for USDC on Hyperliquid spot.
- 04
Deposit
The USDC moves from spot into the perp account. It now counts as margin and raises the basis.
Why a minimum
Bridging has a fixed cost, so small amounts wait. On a quiet token the first position can take a while to open; on an active one it opens within minutes of launch.
Sizing the position#
Every token tracks a basis: the USDC that has gone into its account and is still working. The position is sized to:
- New fees raise the basis, so the position grows with trading volume.
- Unrealized gains never add size. A winning position is not pyramided.
- After a loss the target shrinks with equity, so a drawdown is never re-levered.
- Orders under $11 are skipped; Hyperliquid's minimum is $10.
- Orders are market orders, filled within 2% of the mid price.
Example · long ETH 5x
- Fees bridged so far
- $1,000
- Basis
- $1,000
- Target notional
- $1,000 × 5 = $5,000
- ETH at $2,500
- position = 2 ETH long
- Another $200 of fees arrives
- basis $1,200 → target $6,000 → buy $1,000 more
Taking profit#
Profit is measured as equity above basis. It is taken when both are true:
Then, in one pass:
- 01
Trim
The position is reduced back to basis × leverage, which realizes the gain.
- 02
Withdraw
The profit moves from the perp account to spot. The basis stays where it was.
- 03
Bridge back
The USDC is swapped to SOL and sent through Unit to the token's buyback wallet on Solana.
Example · continued
- ETH rises 5%
- notional $6,000 → $6,300
- Equity
- $1,200 + $300 = $1,500
- Profit vs trigger
- $300 ≥ $240 (20% of $1,200) → take profit
- Trim
- sell $300 of ETH → notional back to $6,000
- Sent to buyback
- $300
Because the basis doesn't move, the next profit-take is measured from the same line: the position always keeps working on the fees that funded it.
Buyback and burn#
When SOL lands in the buyback wallet, the keeper buys the token with it:
- While the token is on its bonding curve, directly on the curve.
- After it graduates, through Jupiter, which routes to the best pool.
- A small reserve (0.01 SOL) stays behind to pay the wallet's own transaction fees.
The bought tokens are then burned: destroyed on chain, reducing total supply. Both transactions appear in the activity feed, and the running total is shown under “Where the fees go”.
Losses and liquidation#
Leverage loses money as readily as it makes it. If the market moves against the position, equity falls. If it falls far enough, Hyperliquid liquidates the position and most of the margin is lost.
When a token's account ends up flat with less than its basis, the basis is reset to what is left. The loop then simply continues: new fees become new margin and reopen the same trade.
Example · short SOL 10x
- Basis
- $2,000 → notional $20,000 short
- SOL rallies ~10%
- position liquidated, equity ≈ $0
- Basis reset
- $2,000 → $0 (logged as “Basis reset”)
- Next $150 of fees
- basis $150 → reopen $1,500 short
No profit, no burn
Buybacks only ever come from realized profit. A token whose position never reaches +20% will never buy back. No one tops up a losing position except future fees.
Using usepurps
Trading a token#
Every token page has a buy and sell panel, priced in SOL. While a token is bonding, a buy swaps SOL to HYPE on Jupiter and buys on the pump.fun curve in the same transaction; a sell does the reverse. When the curve fills, the token graduates and liquidity moves to the pump AMM; trades then route through Jupiter. You can also trade usepurps tokens anywhere else they are listed: fees are earned on all of them.
- Slippage defaults to 5%; choose 2%, 5% or 10% on the panel.
- Your wallet signs; usepurps broadcasts through its own RPC and confirms the transaction.
- The bonding badge on each card shows how full the curve is.
Reading a token page#
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Header | Price, market cap, the strategy, notional, vault equity, lifetime PnL and curve progress. |
| Position | Live from Hyperliquid: size, entry, mark, liquidation price, unrealized PnL, ROE, basis and the take-profit level. |
| Price | The token's own price history. |
| Vault | Equity or unrealized PnL over time, with the basis drawn as a line. |
| Activity | Every step of the loop with a link to its transaction. |
| Where the fees go | Running totals from fees claimed to tokens burned. |
| Addresses | The contract, fee wallet, Hyperliquid account and buyback wallet. |
Lifetime PnL
It is the honest score for a token: what the fees have earned, including profit that has already been burned.
Activity events
| Event | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Fees claimed | Creator fees moved from pump.fun into the fee wallet. |
| Bridged | SOL sent to Hyperliquid through Unit. |
| Swap | SOL sold for USDC, or profit bought back into SOL. |
| Margin in | USDC added to the perp account. |
| Opened / Increased | The position was opened or grown. |
| Profit taken | The position was trimmed and the gain withdrawn. |
| Profit sent | Profit bridged back to Solana. |
| Buyback / Burned | The token was bought and the tokens destroyed. |
| Basis reset | The position closed below basis; the basis now equals what is left. |
Wallets and custody#
Each token gets its own Hyperliquid account and buyback wallet, and its creator fees are kept separate from every other token's. Nothing is pooled.
| Wallet | Chain | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Fee wallet | Solana | pump.fun creator. Receives creator fees and sends them to Hyperliquid. |
| Hyperliquid account | Hyperliquid | Holds the margin and the position. Public on the Hyperliquid explorer. |
| Buyback wallet | Solana | Receives profit back from Hyperliquid, buys the token and burns it. |
The usepurps keeper signs for these wallets and pays the Solana network fees for claims, bridges and burns. That makes usepurps custodial: you are trusting the operator's keys and code rather than a smart contract. Every address is public, so every movement can be checked.

Risks#
- Leverage. A position can lose part or all of its margin. Most leveraged positions eventually lose money.
- Liquidation. A fast move against the position can wipe it out before new fees arrive.
- Delays. Profit is only bought back after it is realized and bridged. That takes minutes, not seconds.
- Third parties. pump.fun, Hyperliquid, Unit and Jupiter can pause, change or fail.
- Custody. The keeper holds the keys. A bug or a compromise of the operator can lose funds.
- Experimental. usepurps is new and unaudited.
- Not an investment. None of this is a promise of returns or a security offering.
FAQ#
Can I change the position after launch?+
No. The market, side and leverage are fixed for the life of the token. That is the point: holders know the thesis can't be swapped.
Do I, as launcher, earn creator fees?+
No. Every creator fee funds the position. If you want exposure to your token, use the dev buy.
When does the first position open?+
As soon as 0.13 SOL of fees has built up and reached Hyperliquid. On an active token that is usually minutes.
What happens if the position is liquidated?+
The basis resets to what is left and future fees reopen the same trade. Past burns are permanent.
Can I see the position myself?+
Yes. Every token page links its Hyperliquid account; the position is public on the Hyperliquid explorer.
What if the token graduates?+
Nothing changes for the loop. Trades route through Jupiter and buybacks do too.
Where do announcements go?+
usepurps on X. Anything else claiming to be usepurps is not.
